This Week's Flash Fiction

Updated: Dec 7, 2020

This week's Flash Fiction is "The Room". I haven't jotted anything down on paper just yet, but I have been thinking a lot about what I'm going to write. It should be pretty interesting. The picture is black and white and previews what looks to be a hotel room during the 60's era. That's a good era for that sort of setting.

It makes me think of Hollywood or Vegas in the 60's. It doesn't quite feel like a horror setting. Actually, what comes to my mind is episodes of I Love Lucy and scenes from the original and remake Ocean's 11 films. The two people seated outside even sparks a familiar conversation. I might save my thoughts on that until I get the story written, however.

The final assignment isn't due until Monday, but I like to stay ahead of the game, so with a day off tomorrow, I'll probably get something typed out and share it with my group of fellow writers, so that I can get some criticism from them.

As I said before, if you'd like to write your own flash fiction and post it on here or even send it to me, I would be more than happy to read it. Just for a little fun and to bounce stuff back and forth off each other. If there's no active conversation, then there's nothing to respond to.

I'd also like to give a very, very quick update to the podcast. There are more episodes coming. The formula is changing a little bit, but it's still going to be me and Thom cutting up and having really silly conversations. So, be sure to subscribe to us on your desired podcast platform.

As I always say, and probably always will,

Love, Peace, and Chicken Grease
