Feedback vs Criticism

My latest flash fiction is receiving amazing feedback! However, while I appreciate people telling me it's good, I really appreciate people telling me what about it needs work.

Now, I know this new piece says "said Charlie" and "said Louie" a lot. But, as bad as it irritated me, it was how we were told to write this one. I may go back and fix it later, but I also had to operate within 1000 words.

Remember in school when you had to write "at least" so many words. It's so much harder as a storyteller to operate within a word limit. But the idea is to teach us to use stronger words than we normally would and word economy.

The next story, we start tonight and it's inspiration is way less than the news coverage of an art heist. So, I'll be sure to share that and hope you enjoy what I make from it.
